What careful bookmark collectors ask first.
Does Talon post anything to my X account?
No. Core Talon has no posting, liking, following, retweeting, or DM workflow. It reads the saved-content data needed to build your private library.
Are X bookmarks and my Talon library private?
X describes bookmarks and bookmark folders as private. Talon keeps imported content private by default. A collection, digest, or highlight becomes public only when you explicitly create a share link.
What happens when I disconnect X?
Scheduled imports stop. You can reconnect, export your library first, or permanently delete the Talon account and its stored library from Settings.
Does Talon replace Readwise or Raindrop?
Not universally. Talon is intentionally X-first. Readwise Reader is broader for reading and highlights across formats; Raindrop is broader for general web bookmarking.
Can I leave with my data?
Yes. Export JSON for restoration, CSV for spreadsheets, Markdown for a readable archive, or individual Obsidian notes. Talon also imports supported JSON and CSV archives.
Can agents access my library?
Premium users can create scoped, one-time-visible API tokens for the Go CLI, stdio MCP server, and browser extension. The server enforces the Premium boundary and token abilities.
